Yeah, a saker is the wrong can....... No can is hearing safe on a 556. It is literally that simple.

I’m running an omega and can absolutely shoot without ears no problem. Especially on a 16” barrel

I shoot 5.56 through a Nomad L and that shit is absolutely hearing safe. I would guess somewhere in the 130db range. It's a bit noisier than my integral 45 (literally over a foot of baffles ) and my 22 cans, but those cans are both insanely quiet. Shooting at an indoor range recently, someone literally asked me if I was shooting 300 BLK. It's that quiet.

The Nomad, Nomad-L, Omega are all very solid cans for 5.56. The thunderbeast ultra-9 is all titantium IIRC and you can never find one in stock... but it otherwise has a very solid reputation, especially for bolt guns. Performance is a hair below the newer Nomad-L.
