I'm not a tard. I know what it is and it's not worth a plug Nickle. Trendy items seldom are. Some hyperbole there. But it is absolutely not worth the price when compared to sub 100 linear comps. And I especially wouldn't buy their can. I am a silencerco guy. They are not new and know what they are doing.surefire has a long ways to go before I will put my money on a gimmick muzzle device.
I've been using surefire stuff for years and it is well made. I don't think I have had a product of theirs that has failed on me. Some stuff has broken but it didn't fail in way to make it inoperable, just little wear and tear issues and surefire has always fixed it for me. Just get an A2 if your cheap then, it's just a suggestion. I have an A2 on my work rifle. Someday I'll replace it with a Warcomp or something similar.
If I'm cheap? That's about a 2000 rifle. The point of the post was to get opinions on which of the two completed a modern retro build best. Modern guts and tech with retro styling. That's why I dished out the cash for a chrome microbest BCG. It's why I threw down on a colt forward assist and Armalite lol as they are the only two companies that get the slight green hue correct on the pins, trigger and FA. Think like when they redesigned the Camaro a few years back, based on the 68 model. I appreciate the response but the 50 "surefire" responses are ridiculous. I don't have just one ar. I have many. All of them outstanding rifles builds and off the shelf alike. I have multiple cans. Used many different muzzles, from bird cages all the way up to sakers (2).
I probably posed my question to the wrong crowd. Next time I need confirmation of the latest trends in AR15 armchair commando gotta have its, I'll be sure to ask here. That's not really directed at you. Think of it as a mass mailing.
