I want to write a fiction book grounded in reality. Michael Crichton (RIP) is my favorite author because I admire his style - he worked his own observations and ideas about life into his characters' conversations, and that makes their interactions believable and memorable. He admittedly was not very deft at close personal connections with people in real life, but his writing made me feel close to him. Writing a book that does that for someone seems like a worthy life's accomplishment!

A great book, you might like it with your field of work, but reading about a microbe threatening life on Earth might be a little much right now for most people. I like historical escapism especially, so Eaters of the Dead is a favorite of mine. I guess it helps that I loved the movie adaptation, The 13th Warrior, one of my favorite movies!

Kek, I just connected it with fighting a never ending stream of leftists: "It's alright, little brother, there are more!" "Lo there do I see my father; Lo there do I see my mother and my sisters and my brothers; Lo there do I see the line of my people, back to the beginning. Lo, they do call to me, they bid me take my place among them, in the halls of Valhalla, where the brave may live forever."
