Considering the state of the Bundeswehr, there is a chance the French could...but let's give the job to the Poles, as I believe they would do a better job of it and are much more deserving. And we let them keep control of Germany after the fact because the Poles appear to have more sense.
OPERATOR 1214 is right. Zi/Zers predecessor stated that if Russia were to attack, the bundeswehr could only sustain about 7 days of fighting. Germany has been under funding their military to fund the welfare programs for immigrants. I used to know a liaison officer for the bundeswehr and he confirmed what I am saying. Doesn't anyone remember when Merkel' S plane broke down in Germany when she was supposed to fly to a G7 meeting? The German air force is in charge of maintaining her aircraft and was skipping manditory maintenance due to funding issues. Germany's bundeswehr is not what Zi/zer thinks it is.
They’ve had significant obesity issues in their ranks for years, too. Their military is weak as shit relative to their economic clout, due to the issues you listed.
Don't be surprised if Zi/zer knows the condition of the Bundeswehr and is perfectly happy with it -- Zi/zer is likely a political officer who is perfectly happy with Germany getting overrun with immigrants and would be perfectly happy with Russia attacking (only regret: no more Stalin!). Zi/zer probably dreams of the day when its own country is kaput (and has worked hard to make it as kaput as it is now).
