the old O&A (opie and anthony) show is one of the last "radio shows" to still talk like real humans. If you aren't familiar with the show you can find years worth of clips on youtube. It's like a time capsule back to when you used to be able to tell jokes without worrying about getting "canceled"... but you also can hear the encroachment of cancel culture come for them one at a time. Years of them defending radio hosts and comedians, only to eventually have anthony fired for "mean tweets" and opie fired for "hostile work environment" or some sort of corporate HR speak for canceled.
Cumia went on to host his own show on compound media, you can find clips of his show on youtube as well
Opie has since faded into obscurity as all his fans turned on him and eventually, sadly, a few of his on-air talent passed away and he's now just doing a vlog basically. ?You can find him on youtube but don't bother, it's complete shit.
Their third chair Jim Norton, and one of the interns (Sam Roberts) are now the two main hosts of whats left of the show (the jim and sam show)... it's also all over youtube but it's not quite as good as the old days, nothing ever can be.
They were counter culture radio... not just to society but to the radio industry. People like to compare O&A to the stern show but they were honestly nothing like that hack. Howard was corporate, he acted like he wasn't but he was just a regular canned show with scheduled interviews of ass kissing and sticking to the narrative like the rest. he just pretended to be a "shock jock" by bringing in some lesbians every now and then for artie to yell at.
The O&A show was a just a good comedian hangout. all the East coast legends came on that show and it was just a constant roast whenever they had more than one sitting in on the show.
if you want to dip your toes into O&A just listen to some old patrice oniel or louis CK shows... eventually you'll wind up loving the show, especially ant and jimmy.
if you want to laugh your balls off, check out the "jim norton laughs" compilations on youtube. Some of that stuff will be inside jokes you won't get but the lions share of that series is just ant making jimmy laugh with things you just can't say these days. they had a special understanding of saying shockingly awful things to make each other laugh and it was fantastic.
Impossible to find anymore, everything now is just so corporate and borg-like...
Many of the comedian podcasts on youtube right now are because of anthony cumia. He inspired rogan to do it, and rogan inspired everyone else.
O&A changed everything, and it's something you should try to listen to while you still can... i'm sure the censors will catch up to those old shows sooner or later, they say some things back then that would cause a cat 5 pants shitting meltdown if any of these snowflake cuck fucks heard it.
Give it a shot sometime you'll probably enjoy it, it's what comedy and real humor used to be before the cultists took over and ruined everything.
npt sure what you mean but just search youtube for "O&A Louis CK" and you'll get a bunch of different curators who all have all the best clips of all louis ck's appearances through the years... from back before he got big all the way till he was too big to go on the show anymore. lol.
so just pick any of them and find stuff that sounds funny to you and stay with one channel so it's easier to search.
they usually make the vids with the title of whatever is funny about that clip, or the subject matter, or the name of the comedian(s) who were on the show that day.
there are literally thousands of clips from that show on youtube. it's literally decades of doing that show for you to listen to if you get real into it.
Just start with the funny clips on youtube, you'll get hooked.
here's the start of a compilation of jim norton laughing his balls off at hilarious shit ant would say...
What I mean is when YT censors these they'll be lost forever unless we take steps to preserve them. There are all sorts of ways to back them up onto other sites that keep good stuff. I'm no good with this, but others here are.
