Hey aren't you glad that Congress bailed out mortgage derivative hedge funds 5x as much as the middle class? Hey what does it mean when the government owns all the mortgages and then bails out the mortgage market repeatedly to make sure housing prices don't ever come down?

In 1912 members of Congress enlisted the help of several world renowned macro-economists from Europe to come and speak before their fellow Congressmen about the risks and dangers of the Central Banks (specifically the ROTHSCHILDS) getting a foothold in the US by way of the “benevolent” Federal Reserve because they saw that grift for what it was. 3 individuals answered the call, and in the fall of 1912 they boarded a ship bound for the US to give their expert opinion and testimony to our congress.

Sadly these financial experts never spoke to our elected officials. The boat they were on sank....after striking an iceberg and sinking to the bottom of the Atlantic.

That boats name? The Titanic....

In 1913 the Federal Reserve Act was passed through Congress and the rest is history...

Before that, a bit. He was already a proven general by the time of the Terror, and had the contacts and had the idea to take over france, he saw the writing on the wall. He then goes on to pillage the wealthiest areas on earth.. and what did he find in Egypt? hm, we don't know really. We do know that small hat tribe rulers wanted another destabilized country.

the Federal Reserve has actually fucked over banks the last decade with their insanely and artificially low interest rates.

Look at the stock returns of banks over the last decade and compare it to big tech, and you will see who is really pulling the strings in DC. In the past, it used to be if you wanted a high paying job, you go to Wall Street, that has shifted to big tech where starting and average salaries are much higher.

If there was no Fed, interest rates would be much higher, and banks would be the sole providers of capital, and would charge a fortune for access to it via high interest rates

23
Lurkmoar347 23 points ago +23 / -0

It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.

This discussion is why there are constant distractions, events like 9/11, current scamdemic and constant social unrest like the supposed overwhelming racism of America. It is all to keep you from looking at the real problem which is Federal Reserver and central bankers.

George Gammon on youtube is a great place to start to learn how our money system works and how nearly all of our problems stems from economic hardship more than anything. As an example, 2% inflation of the last few decades is NOT normal(I thought it was). Deflation is what our goal should be.

11
Wtf_socialismreally 11 points ago +11 / -0

People who were getting ready to look for their new jobs, whether freshly of age kids or people who were coasting along as long as possible before deciding that enough was enough and they needed to get a job.

Both of these people got fucked, since jobs are going to be rough for a while in some states as positions are flooded with possible workers, and I would imagine quite a few positions will be more limited than before during recovery from all the shutdowns due to the financial burden placed on a lot of businesses.

5
HungNavySeal300Kills 5 points ago +5 / -0

You would think but the momentum is extreme and the stickiness of unemployment is ugly. No one wants to go off unemployment where I'm at so jobs are desperate to hire. 20%+ of Americans on unemployment are making more than double on unemployment what they were earning while working.

1
Wtf_socialismreally 1 point ago +2 / -1

Before Trump lowered the unemployment benefits, people were going to be making so much money per hour.

Apparently Whitmer matched in Michigan to get it back up through state funds, which is better than federal.

However, it's still going to be hard to withdraw. Easier to give than take away.

2
HungNavySeal300Kills 2 points ago +3 / -1

I just did some flying, and honestly 50%+ of the people on my flights were flying on unemployment money.

The lady next to me confirmed it with a phone call saying she was only flying back home because they had suspended her benefits card for swiping too much out of state. She was flying back to mail some stuff, get eligible again then go back on vacation.

I don't think people understand what it looks like when poor people are suddenly rich for literally doing nothing.

They know it has to come to an end, i expect some fuss, but I am absolutely certain they won't have any savings when this is done.

I have some extended friends who are all service industry yahoos who all rented a mansion together to live in. They got thousands and thousands of stimulus and they partied on drugs and alcohol hard for a straight month.

4
Wtf_socialismreally 4 points ago +4 / -0

That's just.. lovely.

But yeah, there will be some fuss though and there will also be candidates at some point running on the platform of more money for all, and this time they've gotten a taste of it unlike UBI.

2
Deplora 2 points ago +3 / -1

And they're not eligible for unemployment, since they weren't working when the shutdowns started. The only help they've gotten was the first "stimulus check". And despite both parties saying they supported a second "stimulus check", it never happened because they couldn't agree on anything else, and it's looking like it won't happen at all, at least before the election.

2
Wtf_socialismreally 2 points ago +3 / -1

To be honest, if the Democrats are more concerned with unrelated pork I'd rather no stimulus.

Money to tax payers = not bad, because it can keep some businesses afloat, not least notably the food industry.

Money to tax payers and then all the pork for 1.5x to 2x the amount? Not really bueno. I'm glad the Republicans seem to hold firm at their number

1
DonaldsTrump 1 point ago +1 / -0

-1
2016TrumpMAGA -1 points ago +1 / -2

They're not concerned with unrelated pork. They know the Rs will never approve the pork. The Ds don't want a stimulus bill, they want the economy to tank, and Americans to starve so they can blame it on Trump and have their media lap dogs repeat it ad nauseum. Fucking traitorous scum.

Local talk radio "polled" that the biggest things people spent stimulus on were TVs?

Why would anyone go to the big-box Chyna store, buy a Chyna TV, just to watch Chyna influenced propaganda.

Lead and steel are the only logical things to spend stimulus on!

2
Wtf_socialismreally 2 points ago +3 / -1

FYI leading television manufacturers are LG and Samsung, which are both South Korean companies.

2
MegaMagaManX 2 points ago +2 / -0

Either way, still a fucking ton of the stimie funds left our borders.

1
Wtf_socialismreally 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well, retailers buy these things ahead of time and then people buy them from the retailers so actually the money had already left the borders by the time people used their stimulus on whatever they wanted 🤔

2

that is a great Idea. Amazon, Walmart and Target, whose profits were unprecedented because of the scamdemic, should be taxed based on the excess income derived from it, and those funds should be used as a stimulus

The issue is that single motherhood is a business. It is a norm. One that must be broken.

Our kids need balance. These poor kids are fucked - don’t matter the color. They are all taught-

  1. “You ain’t shit”
  2. “Your daddy ain’t shit”
  3. “This place is shit”

We wonder why they implode

4
MySidesGoUp 4 points ago +4 / -0

Indeed. Marrying the govt IS the incentive. We wonder why men kill them selves 10 x’s more than women....all that privilege..

Women stick together especially for social bennies or to extract value from men. Men are often more selfless. Taking their lives, or asked to compromise themselves into the streets.

Just asking for balance, that is all..

FireannDireach 3 points ago +3 / -0

That's who I'm talking about. To me, 'music industry" covers a lot of ground. I have a family member who's in an orchestra, who's wondering if she'll ever perform again, because her orchestra is hearing rumblings of BK. It took years for her to get a seat in an orchestra as it is. Bars and clubs are a wasteland. I don't go to nearly as many shows as i used to - but I feel you there. Most of the clubs that were left are gone now. Teens and young adults may never get that experience. Theater, same. A guy I went to college with runs/ran a stage lighting design company on Broadway. He's wondering if he'll ever work again, doing that.

There's a little good news - music channels of people playing their own stuff is blowing up on Twitch, because they don't demonetize there like YouTube does. But it's not the same, and it never will be.

Everyone is SO concerned about the big labels and movie studios. Fuck them. They have cash in the bank, they'll still be standing when this is over. Everything else is gutted.

Heavy restrictions and fear mongering are keeping people indoors. Countless others are quarantined and fearful of going out.

I took my dog for a walk in the mountains just now, and at least half of the morons I saw walking down the trails were wearing masks OUTDOORS and nowhere near anybody. It’s unbelievable how effective the media fear porn has been.

Hyperinflation will take a lot longer to get started* as long as we export that inflation. Exporting our inflation is the only reason we’ve held off the coming crash for as long as we have. Don’t be fooled though, we’re inching closer to it day by day. Now the Fed is targeting “average inflation” and have flat out said they are willing to let inflation “run hot” to reach their targets.

The monetary crash is coming sooner rather than later.

-1

Fuck you, Steve. You DO NOT give in to blackmail from Nancy, and hand her and Schumer 3-4 trillion dollars. That's our kids, our grandkids and our great grandkid's money.

OPEN THE DAMN COUNTRY UP.

11
RockyMin 11 points ago +11 / -0

So what happens if Nancy loses her re-election in November? She won't be able to blackmail anyone if that happens. When would she have to step down as speaker?

12
Simple_Doot 12 points ago +12 / -0

I get the feeling she is not going to lose. Her electorate are masochists.

6
RockyMin 6 points ago +6 / -0

Yeah, I know. I was just curious as to what happens if she did happen to lose. I bet she'd be the one that refused to leave office and had to be forcibly removed. Which would be hilarious since that is what she was claiming Trump would do if he lost.

1
Wtf_socialismreally 1 point ago +1 / -0

If Nancy lost, then I'd believe change is coming for the Dem party. Unfortunately not going to happen.

5
FireannDireach 5 points ago +5 / -0

You can't be Speaker if you're not in Congress, if she loses, they elect someone else.

Don't hold your breath on that. She's 'running" against a nobody dude and a YouTuber. She's essentially running unopposed.

She could also retain her seat, but lose Speaker, if the Dems decide she's not working. She has to win her Seat, and then win a ballot within her party in Congress to retain Speaker. Which will probably happen.

5
RockyMin 5 points ago +6 / -1

But if the house flips red, she could still lose Speaker right?

3
FireannDireach 3 points ago +3 / -0

If the house flips red, yes. Then she'd most likely be elected for minority whip or minority leader. Pelosi was minority leader when the GOP controlled the house.

She's party leadership. She's probably getting Speaker again, as I have my doubts the GOP can take the house back - but if they do - guaranteed she'd be minority leader again. Her and Hoyer and Clyburn run the DNC in the House.

1
RockyMin 1 point ago +2 / -1

Ugh, you'd think that at eighty years old, she'd be looking to retire and get out of politics and enjoy the little bit of time she probably has left.

4
FireannDireach 4 points ago +4 / -0

And do what? She's never had a real job, this is her life. Politicians like her intend to die of natural causes in office.

Her life would change too dramatically on all levels for a power hungry vampire like her to walk away from it.

1
RockyMin 1 point ago +2 / -1

Just enjoy her retirement. She obviously doesn't need any more money. If I was eighty years old and in her position, I'd certainly be seriously considering it.

1
KremlinBot 1 point ago +1 / -0

You can't be Speaker if you're not in Congress, if she loses, they elect someone else.

You are not technically required to be a member of congress to be Speaker, only you must be voted in by those who are. This situation has never happened before though.

2
FireannDireach 2 points ago +2 / -0

I stand corrected, and learned something new. Thanks pede.

2
Tryhardneckbeard 2 points ago +2 / -0

Jan 1... ish They get a full month and a half to go bat shit insane on people post election.

1
RockyMin 1 point ago +2 / -1

And Nancy would most definitely go batshit insane if she lost speaker. Though I be she'd retire when she had to step down as speaker and not just go back to her seat in the House.

1
FireannDireach 1 point ago +1 / -0

Just to clarify - she wouldn't "go back to her seat" - she's still currently a Congresswoman, AND is Speaker of the House. She does both. (granted, she does fuck all for CA)

And, she'd be elected minority leader, she held that position for decades when the GOP controlled the house. It's still ALL the power.

3
UpTrump 3 points ago +4 / -1

At the bottom of the article, they quote him and it seems like he's gonna bow

3
FireannDireach 3 points ago +4 / -1

What quote would that be? The important one is this:

Mnuchin pushed back against that conservative position Monday, saying that “now is not the time to worry about shrinking the deficit.”

He's going rogue. He's not expressing the President's position. I'm betting there will be some uncomfortable meetings in the Oval Office over this.

I disagree. What we need is governors to open back up their fucking states and let people get back to work.

19
sustainable_saltmine 19 points ago +20 / -1

Also have to remind everyone: "Open" = No masks (unless you choose to, no mandate form government, employer or venue/store/restaurant), no limits on gatherings, no limits on indoor occupancy unless that would violate the previously stated fire code of the place, no one-way aisle in stores, no need for plexiglas barriers or face shields. No "coronavirus precaustions" we didn't have prior to March.

Basically it has to be like the virus never existed or you're not "open"

6

not going through the state unemployment system. NO MIDDLEMEN.

Do not allow the states to distribute the money. The checks/deposits must be cut directly from the Federal Government. If you let the states be middlemen, that's an invitation to have them withhold the money, skim off the top or misappropriate it to fix budget holes or bailouts

5

So the dem controlled house of reps refused to work out any kind of relief package, so POTUS does the few things he can do with only executive power - one of those things being to postpone payments for social security, unemployment and other payroll withholding taxes so people can take home a little more money now, when they really need it. Since his only power is to defer collection, not eliminate the requirement it be paid eventually, the plan relies on congress to forgive the payments next year when they'd be due. So, what does congress do? Do they cave in and give Americans desperately needed relief? Nope - what Biden did is he rolled out a campaign ad claiming that because POTUS has deferred collection of those payroll taxes, it means he's really shutting down social security and unemployment because he hates Americans and wants them to suffer. Good God, are there people stupid enough to buy that shit?

4

We don't need more stimulus. What we need is to REOPEN THE ECONOMY. Reopening the economy will dwarf whatever stimulus they're going to provide. I have friends that were furloughed from jobs making 90-100k/year and now get 10-20k/year from unemployment.

This is the finest example of NANNY state going way too far. Most of the people that are super vulnerable to COVID can quarantine in their homes because they're elderly and have very few reason to leave the home. If they need to leave the home, they can get something like a respirator and pretty much be heavily protected when going out.

I'm sorry but COVID is simply not enough to shut down the whole economy. It isn't like we are being invaded by a foreign army or something like that. For the vast majority of the population, getting COVID will make them short-term sick with flu-like symptoms and they will fully recover. The higher risk people are much less and usually in situations where they can quarantine on their own (elderly etc.)
