If there is a Police department who has "Trained Officers" who has some issues that better training would help solve, politicians are quick to call for de-funding. How does this make any sense?

First off, police officers today have been trained more or better than anytime in history. There really isn't systemic racism in the police forces across the nation. It's a made up problem.
Second, the present state of our schools and teaching is a failure. For example, we have had decades to teach kids that it's the content of their character that matters and it's as if the kids have been taught what matters most is skin color.
The solution? How about a program to hire ex military as teachers. It can't hurt to have more conservative patriots as teachers.
So, give all the teachers guns then the Leftists governors will defund them too?
