I have immune disorders too. Genetic, not self sabotage. I find the plant diet and FODMAPS observance controls my symptoms very well.

Cheese is believed to be heart and cancer protective as well as a source of varying types of bacteria. I like to keep my gut alert with a variety of "good germs." Good digestion is a major key to overall health.

IBS, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and fibromyalgia, amongst other things often have correlating dietary and lifestyle components. We know correlation doesn't necessarily mean causation, but it's suggestive.

Poor diet over a long period of time, adverse environmental conditions, or intense periods of unusual stress can trigger immune system conditions.

Many of these supposed contributing factors can be prevented.
