I once had an ex-miltary person bitch me out like a lunatic because I accidentally, and unknowingly, let a flag touch the ground. It's like I burned Jesus at the stake or something to this person. Doesn't the flag code say that a flag shouldn't be used for apparel, etc... whereas a printed cloth wouldn't be considered a flag, so therefore this would be excluded since it's a towel.
