The school board has reversed its decision. The boys are back on the team.

Anytime someone tells you that you can't celebrate your liberty, do it in their face and twice as hard!!

So the school is taking action because this is political? See....this is where the school messed up. Support for police and fire fighters is NOT political. The left has been trying to make it political, but this is a subject that is NOT political. All these players affected could say "this was not a political statement" and then the school could potentially be screwed.

"While we understand these students’ desire show their support of our first responders, they did not obtain permission from district officials. Administrators must act when students break the rules."

And the community must act when bullshit rules are put in place. Have a nice ride, assholes.

Can't wait for them to suspend someone for wearing or displaying BLM symbolism. Since they're such sticklers for the rules.

Police departments in cities are almost ALWAYS political!

Sheriffs less so but still.

Lancaster PD got their shit straight.

Be like Lancaster not Portland.

Im saying that showing support for police and fire fighters is not political. If people can show support for nurses and doctors and it not be political....than showing support for other first responders falls under the same category.

I know what you meant and agree but was pointing out many departments are nothing BUT political.

Portland PD is no longer a viable police force. They are a political entity and that's why Porlanders got fucked over.

In my day starting football players wouldn't be suspended during the season if they burned the damn school down. Get off my lawn!

Gulleyfoyleismyname 3 points ago +3 / -0

True! Especially I'd say early to late 90s?

4
hectorspector 4 points ago +4 / -0

Was 1990 thirty years ago? Sigh.

That shit sucks don't it? 🤣🤣🤣

"Just keep waking up young man and you'll get here!" the old guys used to tell me when I'd fuck with them. 😞

Long life my Pede!

Superintendent Greg Power suggested that the boy’s decision to show respect for first responders by flying the flags represented a political point of view.

I guess being pro-America is a political point of view? Since we are in America, it should not be controversial.

Gulleyfoyleismyname 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yep. Love America? Trump supporter. Hate America? Harris/Biden vote.

4
Staatssicherheit 4 points ago +4 / -0

Trump/Pence stands up for America. Harris/Biden kneels against America.

Fascinating how they don't make any argument that this is exactly how it works.

2
Gulleyfoyleismyname 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yep. They attack anything with the flag or public safety officials on it.

"The school district must act when students break rules."

Unless they are Diverse Students, and then the rules don't apply. At all. Ever.

"Little Miami always has – and always will – support our first responders, our veterans, and all who sacrifice to maintain our freedoms."

Every single article like this always has to have this little asterisk at the bottom so you know more about a town trying to save face when everyone truly knows that their administration HATES their first responders and veterans and anybody who sacrafices (something) to maintain their freedoms.

Hypocrites. They're all hypocrites.

A comment on a petition on Change.org, on their behalf, says that they have been reinstated. I guess the school got too much flack.

3
Choppermagic 3 points ago +3 / -0

So it's political. That means the democrats don't support police. Everyone knows it

semblanceofsanity 3 points ago +3 / -0

Stand up for something. Even if it costs you everything.

If the kids are aspiring to become police officers or firefighters after graduation are they picking a political view point or a career? So is holding a flag that represent a career and loss of life really political? Good for them, who ever banned them should be let go from their position for not allowing freedom of speech in a public funded area. that field i bet is town owned. the school is also probably paid for by the residents of the town.
