If you hit a page that throws up a firewall and blocks the text you want to see, you might be able to get the text anyway by using a browser extension that makes PDFs out of webpages. The extension puts a little icon at the top of the browser and you click it and make your PDF. This one: https://www.printfriendly.com previews the PDF, so you can read it and not save it if you don't want it. (I didn't realize they had a website version, that might work too.) But there are several, check them out. It's a good way to save articles that are likely to be pulled down, or for making your database. The different extensions have different amounts of luck if the page is complexly programmed so try a few. These are free and they might be called Add-ons or extensions in your browser to go look for them. If there's no firewall, you can try printing to PDF if you are just saving the info.

Just to add-on.
I noticed that on some sites that have a paywall, you can replace the 'www' in the url with 'amp' and be able to view a mobile version. It doesn't work with every site that has a paywall, but is worth trying
Oooh thanks!
