I saw some of this kind of “student activism” when I was in college. Now it seems to be infecting high schools. My message to these kids is the same as it was to my college classmates who felt they should have the right to dictate what is taught: THE SCHOOL DOES NOT BELONG TO THE STUDENTS. Students are there to learn, not govern.

THE SCHOOL DOES NOT BELONG TO THE STUDENTS

It belongs to those who were students in the 70's and got the rules against political agitation removed from Universities.

The name of that movement? The 'freedom of speech' movement

Being politically aware at a young age isn't bad- but being fucking obsessed with it is just fucking bizarre. There was so much more shit to do in HS and college than to protest and make a general ass out of yourself. Imagine pissing away some of the best years of your life because, Orange Man Bad!
