We need to start realizing that each republican stronghold has a progressive infection. Welfare programs draw liberals, criminals, homeless and immigrants who only vote for the promise of free handouts. The first state to ban welfare will see a mass exodus of these groups and a huge drop in crime, increase in prosperity, safe downtown areas, etc.
