They likely saved that man's life, it might not seem like it (they did beat the shit out of him) but if that turns into a lethal situation where the officer's gun or other potentially deadly objects are in play, who the hell knows what would've happen. This brings a tear to my eye, and gives me hope for the future. These are patriots if you ask me, they've certainly earned the title.
