The women getting abortions are getting abortions because they are promised wealth and success if they have an abortion, they would otherwise probably moderately successful bc they have the foresight to understand they can't afford kids. It's basically child sacrifice in a way, sacrifices to Moloch in exchange for good crop yield, sacrifice your kid bc you've been told that having kids will make you less successful. So the women that would probably raise their kids and do it successfully bc they have a modicum of ability to anticipate consequences won't have kids, and the women that just see kids as a paycheck keep pumping them out so they can stay on the government teat. So the population self selects for the lowest common denominator.
