It's a done deal. You think our GEOTUS would have mentioned it otherwise?

33
Lady_MaGa 33 points ago +35 / -2

This also proves that other presidents just couldn't do it, they just didn't want to.

27
TEXinLA 27 points ago +27 / -0

Trump's a dealmaker who was willing to take chances.

I'm not sure anyone else would have be able to put this together. ISIS had to be gone and the draw down on our troops continuing. Trump will continue to adding countries to the treaty over the next month or so.

Palestine and Iran will be the last ones standing.

8
BeerAndCope 8 points ago +8 / -0

That’s what it’s going to be. Over the next month the entire Middle East is going to sign on to the peace deal leaving only Iran and Palestine. Then over the next 4 years Trump will get them to sign it too and go down in history as the president that brought peace to the Middle East.

True. It is described as a territory.

I think that is one of the bigger reasons why those countries are recognizing Israel. For decades, Israel has been helping them behind closed doors but when Trump started removing US troops from the area and Israel being the only nation that could counter Iran, it makes perfect sense for the others to normalize relations and start the process of cooperation (both economically and militarily).

But what will it take before Jewish people start voting 🗳 Republican?

2
Seruna_Kanus 2 points ago +2 / -0

The based ones moved to Israel, the ones that couldn't make it stayed where they were safe and cushy.

2
TEXinLA 2 points ago +2 / -0

The Orthodox ones are strong Trump supporters.

Most Reform Jews are progressive Dems. so I don't know that even Trump's pro-Israel administration can change their voting pattern.

I want this to come to fruition on January 1st. That way Trump can go back to back on the Nobel Peace Prize.

The salt will be exquisite.

This would be the biggest foreign policy achievement by a President in at least 75 years

2
TheEidolon 2 points ago +2 / -0

It would be the biggest achievement since the end of WWII. Mecca is in Saudi Arabia. They are the leader of the Islamic world. I cannot understate how big a deal that would be.

1
Nola96 1 point ago +1 / -0

It would also cement Trump's legacy as a top 5 President

48
uvontheterrible 48 points ago +48 / -0

This would be big, because it would then make it much easier for the rest of the arab world to fall in.

37

Was gonna say the same thing. This has been in the works for a while. I imagine it would have come even sooner if not for the Dem bullshit.

Yeah I doubt israel is going to outfit Saudi Arabia with any serious tech. The enemy of my enemy may be my friend but he's still my enemy once Iran is crushed under the weight of their own failing country

20
irspow 20 points ago +22 / -2

It would be symbolically huge, but the Saudis will likely remain the greatest source of funds and radical Islamic propaganda for terrorists around the world.

24
The_Peter 24 points ago +25 / -1

The middle east is obviously very complicated but I've never understood how Iran is categorically evil and Saudi Arabia is our ally.

18
Isolated_Patriot 18 points ago +18 / -0

Pretending not to be at war has it's advantages. SA on the whole is the more civilized of the arab nations because they mainly engage in subversive funding of terrorists, which puts them on the same playing field as countries like the UK and USA (Bush + Clinton + Bush + Obama in case that offends anyone, you know it's true).

Iran is just outwardly bitchy all the time, declaring war on everyone, trash-talking everyone, and publicly backing out of every deal they've ever made. They shoot down their own airliners and blame it on the US, TWICE.

SA is also very concerned about MONEY. They are very economically focused because their entire fortune and place in the world revolves around their cash and oil stockpile.

They also have that dual civilization thing going on, where they may be super orthodox and "muslim" to their own citizens, but ignore the non-citizens as long as they are there for business and don't do anything too public.

All in all it makes them quite a bit lower on the ladder of evil, but not somewhere I would recommend buying a summer home.

I think this is becoming the reality. Yes, it was nonsense when Bush & Obama said it. But Trump is actually changing things, because he actually gives a fuck.

5
FRONT_TOWARD_LEFT 5 points ago +5 / -0

Saudis will continue to be evil until they suddenly are not. That day is coming soon, and MBS is going to play a huge part in that.

When we were nowhere near oil-independent, and the cold war was raging, we had no choice to kiss ass on the KSA sheet-shrouded ragheads and treat them like our BFFs. The times have changed, and we need them now for their leadership hold over Sunni goatfucking moon-rock worshippers in the name of peace. To be fair, Arabs have come a long way.

Iranians were important to us because they bordered the USSR. The value of their oil reserves is somewhere between jack and shit, but their ability to project force into the Arabian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz gave them importance. That fuckstain, Carter, deposed the US-backed Shah to allow Ayatollah Khomeini a clear path to power in Iran. Those Shia ragheads took US hostages, and the Soviets propped-up the mullahs to be a thorn in our side, and the Iranians have been living up to that for over forty years now.

All muslims are evil. Evil is the central imperative of their "religion." It is up to them to moderate their evil to interface successfully with the modern, western world.

The huge difference between Arabs and "Persians" is that the Persians believe that they once were a dominant civilization. Arabs know they were always scoundrels and outcasts, and they are somewhat proud of that. Iran will need to be ground into the dirt before they will be ready to understand their rightful place in the modern world.

3
irspow 3 points ago +3 / -0

Neither do I. The Saudi’s are a rich oil producing nation and play nice in public with us. But internally, the society is as extremely radical as it gets. They preach the same hatred as the terrorist groups that they fund. They are allies in name only.

2
PoppinKREAM 2 points ago +2 / -0

Location and cash.

5
2016TrumpMAGA 5 points ago +5 / -0

What almost everyone fails to realize is that Saudi Arabia is a family business. Like all families, they have a few black sheep. Those are the ones funding terrorism. It's hard to knock off cousin Bob for sending money to terrorists when Bob's 75 sons control the civilian and military government for a whole province. You have to cut a deal with the most powerful sons not not to be terror supporting assholes, and wait until Bob dies of natural causes, or one of the sons expedites his trip to Paradise.

POTUS Trump Magic Wand has one huge advantage over all his political rivals:

POTUS Trump is not a God-be-damned piece of globalist shit, waste of bio-plasm like all of his political rivals are

Makes a big difference - then plus POTUS Trump is a genius while his rivals are narcissistic imbeciles

5
DonttrustChina 5 points ago +5 / -0

Absolutely enormous.

My mom's a moderate Republican, but she HATES Trump, just on a personal level, that he's rude and crude and mean and antagonizes people, and she just can't get past that. She also gets poisoned by a lot of fake news so she believes things like that he suggested drinking disinfectant.

And ever since I jumped on the Trump train, I've been working on her...pretty much every time I call or visit (my dad's a HARD lib, trying to turn him is probably a lost cause), and she's fiiiiinally starting to waver. Even after lockdowns, market crash, riots, etc failed to turn her, what's really getting her is my uncanny ability to predict all the ways the Dems are cheating. The way they screwed Bernie again, the way the protests started right after the Dems predicted economic recovery in the fall, causing a COVID spike and hurting the market for months, the way there was never really a VP search and Biden was always gonna pick Kamala. All the evidence of that really made her start questioning things because whatever her personal feelings about Trump, she wants us to have a functioning democracy in which parties don't fake their primaries. And of course I'm not some amazing political prognosticator, I'm just telling her the predictions I read on TheDonald, which have been very reliable.

She's starting to understand that if all the shit that the Dems have done in 2020 to hold the country hostage gets rewarded, they'll just do it again every time someone they don't like is in office.

But the BIG breakthrough has been this mideast peace stuff (note that she's also Jewish, so the safety of Israel is an issue she cares about, but she also just understands how monumental this is as a step towards world peace), and I actually got her to commit that if Trump can get Saudi Arabia to normalize, he'll have earned her vote.

And as stubborn as she's been in her distaste for Trump, if SHE'LL get over it should that happen, I guarantee you there's a ton of people, especially a huge bloc of the Jewish vote, who'd come around to MAGA if that happens.

The whole peninsula will join in the peace agreement

4
Berzerker_king 4 points ago +4 / -0

It is quite obvious ... UAE and Bahrain have not signed the peace deal without Saudi Arabia's nod ;)

so basically KSA and other non-qatari members of GCC are also going to follow suit at varying pace. maybe some more states that are dependent upon donations from gcc.

3

Its done. Remember the left “muh kashogi” something has to be done to our vasal state oil partner in a vaccum cuz he was a jornalist. Nevermind the fact that there was a power shake up in the kingdom.”

Trump used it as leverage. We could have supported a coup if we wanted to. Kingdom bends the knee. Thats how u win!!!

It's a pretty simple bargain: accept this country who ALSO hates Iran, or we can remove our troops from your country and leave you to deal with them on your own. And he set it up perfectly by taking a hard stand defending Israel and moving the embassy and by removing troops from other countries, like Germany. Making deals is easy when you have leverage and are a serious person. Goes to show what fucking clowboats we had as president for the last 50 years.

Would be a huge step forward. If I recall correctly, the KSA already allows the IDF to refuel jets at their bases, but its a very hush hush relationship. This would really get Iran to fall in line.
