I disagree. They are just that stupid. First off, criminals are in general stupid, and when you advance in an organization based on ideological metrics, then accomplishments, competency, and smarts don't come into play.
Biden is the establishment candidate that was losing bad in early primaries, so DNC sent the goons out to get him the nomination (warren dropping out as expected). Them they have him pick the VP for the establishment preferred candidate.
Then the entire push for election strategy is "not Trump"
With this strategy they get to put their manchurian candidate in the WH with nobody ever supporting her in the primary. Unless Trump wins.
