Professor at public college urges class to not vote for President Trump — and now she's under investigation

One of your professors is on video committing a felony. She is on video telling her students not to vote for Trump, implying on video that they are bad people if they vote for Trump, because he's a 'bad person', and that they'll be complicit in "ruining the country" and "taking away our rights" (both of which are false statements). This is intimidation in form of psychological manipulation, hate hoaxing, gaslighting (confabulation of reality by proxy radicalization by the media) and defamation. It's against the law to do this, as I demonstrate below a citation of the federal law.

Since she's an educator and has say in people's grades and their futures, she's threatening their future by holding it ransom based on politics. Thus, she's also depriving people of their rights under color of law; yet another federal violation

You really need to get your teachers under control, or your students will have standing in a class action lawsuit against this person for depriving them of their civil rights. Could get ugly. Don't just reassign. Fire this person. Fire her immediately. No more reassignment, not even to Janitor.

If you don't, you're putting your entire school at risk for multiple class action lawsuits. Be smart about this. Don't let politics take your whole school down. It's not worth it. Orange man will be gone in 50 days or 4 yrs.

18 U.S. Code § 594.Intimidation of voters

https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/594

Whoever intimidates, threatens, coerces, or attempts to intimidate, threaten, or coerce, any other person for the purpose of interfering with the right of such other person to vote or to vote as he may choose, or of causing such other person to vote for, or not to vote for, any candidate for the office of President, Vice President, Presidential elector, Member of the Senate, Member of the House of Representatives, Delegate from the District of Columbia, or Resident Commissioner, at any election held solely or in part for the purpose of electing such candidate, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.

42 U.S. Code § 1983.Civil action for deprivation of rights https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/42/1983

Every person who, under color of any statute, ordinance, regulation, custom, or usage, of any State or Territory or the District of Columbia, subjects, or causes to be subjected, any citizen of the United States or other person within the jurisdiction thereof to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured by the Constitution and laws, shall be liable to the party injured in an action at law, suit in equity, or other proper proceeding for redress, except that in any action brought against a judicial officer for an act or omission taken in such officer’s judicial capacity, injunctive relief shall not be granted unless a declaratory decree was violated or declaratory relief was unavailable. For the purposes of this section, any Act of Congress applicable exclusively to the District of Columbia shall be considered to be a statute of the District of Columbia.

If your school is a corporation, then your school is a LEGAL PERSON, thus this teacher is acting as 2nd person, and this law is applicable also

18 U.S. Code § 241.Conspiracy against rights

https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/241

If two or more persons conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same; or

If two or more persons go in disguise on the highway, or on the premises of another, with intent to prevent or hinder his free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege so secured—

They shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, they shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.

I don't understand why more students don't report these things to Federal Student Aid.

I agree. You are paying these people to teach you a subject and nothing else. Why do people let these leftist professors push them around? If they threaten your grades because you don’t agree with them politically , sue the shit out of them.

She sounds like a total idiot. She's a professor? Here are her credentials from the school's website -- pathetic even for a community college (and it should be complementary medicine with an 'e', but I guess they don't teach grammar and spelling there):

Research Nurse, Student Supervisor, Stony Brook Emergency Medicine Degrees: B.S., Empire State College; M.A., State University of New York at Stony Brook; RN, Kings Park School of Nursing Special Areas: women and medicine, women's health issues; alternative and complimentary medicine (e.g. hypnosis, reflexology, energy healing)

Lots of junior colleges call their instructors "Professors" as it's not a protected title.

"Ooh honey, you're so smart. What a good boy. And strong, too!" <- complimentary medicine

we had to watch an obama speech in class one day in community college, not sure what I did, maybe an audible "ugh" during the speech. the prof asked "would you like something to add?" HA! big fucking mistake because i'm full of piss and vinegar... I was like "yeah, I DO!" and went on a tirade about how he was full of shit

forgot to add the most important part, she docked me a full letter grade by the end of the class. it was the only non-math class that I didnt get an "A". And Chem, got a "B" in chem.

How are Community colleges funded in the US? They rely on provincial and Federal subsidies in Canada.

2
OhLollyLollyPop 2 points ago +2 / -0

Generally by state and county funding for public ones. Tuition and alumni grants for private schools. It varies from state to state.

1
desync_ 1 point ago +1 / -0

Her thesis /specialisation was in "alternative medicine" incl. hypnosis and energy healing, so her degree basically counts for jack shit.

I used to work for a community college (Oklahoma). I heard from a student (I taught math) that when Obama ran in 2008, a black History teacher told them leading up to the election that you'd be an idiot to vote for McCain. On election day, she offered extra credit to students who voted - 5 pts for an 'I Voted' sticker, but 10 pts if you also told her who you voted for. For class where test are graded on content (essay questions) If it were me, I would never tell her who I voted for. Really pissed me off.

Donald_McRonald 3 points ago +3 / -0

Finally! Get these Marxist nut-jobs our the door! Students should never even be able to guess your political leanings if you are a professor.

Parents need to watch what their kiddo's are being taught in all levels of their education. Remote teaching opens the doors for this like never before.
