I see where your coming from, but it's working for us now because we aren't being rounded up for our political beliefs and thrown into work/concentration camps.

I really hate using this example because the psycho left abuses the word, but what we are seeing now is similar to the start of the Nazis rise to power. Next thing you know we lose faith I n the people maintaining the current system of law and then the brown shirts are voted in by a narrow margin and it gets far worse from there.

I'm not saying blindly support every thing the police do, but the last thing we want to to is completely abandon the system that has kept us relatively free for the last century or so. That's what these insane far leftist want and if we aren't careful they will get it.

Make no mistake, what you see in the street isn't the threat, the are the useful idiots that will allow the real threat behind the scenes to take over, and they are not idiots. They know what they are doing.
