Before I enter a store, I start to get edgy and my breathing is exaggerated. While I'm in the store, I feel like I am hyperventilating at times-- and it just makes me want to get the fuck out of the store as soon as possible. I have had to leave a store a few times to let my gf finish shopping- and sure as shit, as soon as I left, I felt better within seconds.
I have never had anything like this happen to me before- ever. I live in area that they will strictly enforce mask wearing and I have other hills to die on- and I don't feel like knocking someone's teeth out who is just doing there job or being confronted by harpies- I don't have restraint when it comes to strangers getting in my face.
Anyone else experience something similar?
Congratulations, you now have a medical condition that exempts you from wearing a mask! Here's my strategy: when you go into a place that requires a mask walk right on up to the person "checking" for masks and say, "I have a medical condition and can't wear a mask. Is it okay if I go in?" Everytime I've done this, I get waved right on before I can even complete my spiel. As far as other people hassling me, well, I don't pay attention to other people in the first place, and if someone confronted me, I would totally shame them for hassling a person with a disability.
I'm the most timid, non-confrontational person (female) you'd ever meet. So if I can do this, anyone can. The beauty of my approach is that it is totally non-confrontational. Be proactive. And breathe freely!
Not everyone has hot girl privilege though
