I used to know someone a few years ago who 'loved' this new movie and was impressed that it reportedly made "grown women cry because it made them feel empowered" - because apparently I'm supposed to think there has never been a movie before that features women in powerful roles, who knew!
Of course this friend was also a Mexican national who tries to tell Americans they're sexist if they don't vote Democrat (despite the fact that she has never lived here), a proponent of "third gender" ideas, a proponent of socialism, was a covert narcissist, and generally thought she was much smarter and more righteous than she actually was. So it doesn't really surprise me.
Alright, I guess I just took advantage of this topic to get my annoyance with that friend off my chest.
Eh I don’t think they did it for that reason, dc has been in its emo phase trying desperately to be the dark knight without really understanding why the dark knight was so popular. It’s possible I suppose, but I suspect the change was more to do with matching the “darker” tones and colors of the movies.
China. Say it again, China.
China is asshoe.
The biggest asshoe of them all.
Lynda Carter and nobody else.
She was amazing. Perfect Wonder Woman!
She really did embody the part. I met her once. Very nice lady, with an interesting life story.
How neat! I really regret not writing to her. Classic actresses and actors were the talented ones, and usually super neat people. :)
She is still living. I think she is like 69.
Oh my! That's wonderful news, for some reason I thought she'd passed, I'm so glad it's not so. Thanks Pede!
I'm off to write a fan letter. :)
Glad to help!
When I was a little girl in the 1970s, Wonder Woman was one of the few TV shows my dad let me pick to watch in primetime.
Hey, wait a minute!
Aw, that's great. :) it's a fun show.
Oh, you didn't get the joke? My DAD let me watch WW?
China wouldn't like the movie if it was pro America. The Chinese market is pretty big I hear.

Good thing I am a girl. :)
You're right, it was my friends newborn twins who were premature. They are doing wonderfully now, thank you so much!
Awesome to hear this!

2% of the population and yet vastly over-represented in superheroes' casting. Propaganda, much?
