I figure they are using botnet methods to secretly boost traffic for ad revenue, that is one of the only things that makes sense to me, seeing as their genuine traffic is decreasing at increasing rates. The company can defraud advertisers, so the important paychecks don't take a cut, until it's time to jump ship.

The reason why the DDOS attack doesn't increase our site rankings, is the same reason why they have missing traffic origins.
