The Rooftop Koreans probably knew the police might turn on them and come after them instead of the hoodrats burning down businesses, and they didn't let that concern stop them. I know some of them came from the homeland where there's been war and atrocities committed. They feared nothing and everyone, including the police and the hoodrats knew that. That mindset doesn't exist here.
