Why is he being depicted at all, when the bible forbids icons or imagery? Because they are not following Gods law. The first "picture" of Jesus wasn't produced until like the 5th century. And it doesnt look anything like the ones we see today. And Michael Angelo the guy who painted the Sistine chapel was a sodomite, and the guy who he rendered as Jesus was literally his faggot boyfriend.

No. Anyone who doesn't believe ON the Lord Jesus Christ, and their only way to heaven is going to burn in hell. If you trust in Jesus, and baptism, or Jesus and your good works, or Jesus and anything else, you are not saved. Its by grace, through faith. Plus nothing, minus nothing. The bible is clear, "believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved." From Genesis to Revelation, it has always been through faith alone. "Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness." Abraham was saved before he was ever commanded to be circumcised, when he called upon the name of the LORD.
So what difference does it make if people depict Jesus so long as they have faith?
Does it make a difference to me? No. But God commanded us not to make images or icons. And those little statues of the virgin Mary, pictures of some random guy that looks like a pot smoking hippy they call Jesus, it's all directly against Gods commandment. And Jesus himself said "if you love me, keep my commandments."
I'm just gonna keep it simple and continue being an atheist.
