The strategy was simple: Spend four years filing frivolous lawsuits against the guy you're planning on running against, then claim his administration was riddled with controversy and scandal. It's a shame enough morons didn't see through what he was doing. Considering the media fawned over Beshear and still do, it's no surprise.
My favorite was the time Bevin criticized schools for closing because they felt it was too cold. He was right and the media jumped on him like he was calling for the execution of children who didn't want to go to school.
