We really need to create a position in the justice department called "secretary of strongly worded letters" that way Barr could step down as AG and focus on something he's actually good at.

This is similar to the heckler's veto. This is what happens when one side just decides to shout down the other side. Our law enforcement and other civic institutions are supposed to prevent this. Clearly, our nation's law enforcement is being demonstrated to be fairly toothless in the face of this. And our nation's universities and other institutions are acquiescing to the pressure from the mob, rather than face violence.
