Sometimes you have to learn the hard way. I'll never own a house in an HOA again. I had a neighbor who looked over the fence into my back yard when I was on the road for a couple of weeks and reported me to the HOA because my grass was too long. From then on I looked for loopholes in the HOA rules to annoy the fuck out of her until I sold the place. Now in my current house I have no HOA, no fees, and I can do whatever I want. Neighbor has a big RV parked in his driveway, and I couldn't be happier about it... THIS IS AMERICA!
