For sure. If it turns out to be successful, that'll be a hell of an accomplishment, but all other vaccines have historically taken years or decades, so I will pass. I could see a high-risk person one taking a chance on it, but the fact is, most people don't need it.
I worry that If they do release to high risk individuals before the election how long it takes before mainstream media starts a counter on how many people get sick and or die "from Trump's vaccine" regardless of the actual cause. We've already seen how possible this is with the flakey covid numbers.
