What you are describing is known as a man-in-the-middle attack. Credit cards 'should' be safe from that as most sites use https (encrypted) for such transactions, however the attacker can still get a list of sites you visit and when you visited them.

There are a bunch of bots on here today posting comments that say: “you hit this nail on the head did you see this?” With a link to that scam. Deport them when you see them.
All WiFi in my house went out and tablet had to be reset after hitting that link lol this Fluke Is gonna fuck with my head all day.

So you clicked and it just locked everything up?
No it didn’t lock anything. Someone else said that they lost their WiFi connection right after they clicked but that probably was unrelated.
