A lot of self identified atheists actually do believe in the existence of a creator and his intelligent design, because that's the ultimate explanation for science, a conclusion reached by many famous scientists in history.. They also agree on a lot of moral principles from the bible and live by those principles. The real issue, though, is that they are just not into organized religion, while they don't wanna be meat puppets like those orange man bad NPCs either. They do seek spiritual wisdom and guidance and meaning of life in one way or another. The term they often describe themselves is "spiritual but not religious". The churches have their own fault for that. In many megachurches, their services are basically rock concert and pep talk.
