Diblasio is part of a group that is buying up a lot of the property since it is being sold on the cheap, if they bring in a Rudy type mayor next and NYC rebounds, they will make billions. I think New York may be truly dead forever though, since they forced everyone to telecommute and now businesses know they can survive without having to pay for that ridiculously expensive office space.

My company had 11 floors rented throughout Manhattan, with the work from home showing that work can get done and save the company money...

We have decided not to renew 10 of the 11 leases and only have 1 office which will act as like a We Work environment. Only the top execs are required to be in the office 3+ days a week while everyone else is expected to be there at least 5 calendar days a month, but if you moved out of the tri-state area our corporate HQ said you can still WFH.

Curious if you still have to come into the office for those 5 calendar days if you move out of the area. That would get old quick

If people moved out of the tri-state area they don't have to be in the office at all, but I don't think they'd be kept long term IMO. Just because some in person collab is needed for my type of work.
