Do they have much left in that shithole city to burn? A few years ago I got diverted off I95 for one exit due to a tractor trailer accident. Got to watch a homeless guy try to pick up change surrounded by used needles.
Thankfully BPD was at the major intersections to keep traffic moving and back onto the highway.
The force continuum states that force should be one level higher than the suspect is using. A knife is deadly force, and should have been answered with a gun first, not a taser.
These riots have the cops so scared (understandably) of wrecking their lives, that they are not doing their job properly. How many extra stabs did the victim receive because the tased first?
It hasn't helped that over the summer the CT Leg had a emergency session for CCPVirus related issues, but instead rammed a "police accountability" thru as a emergency measure meaning no committee hearings, no public testimony, etc. that is only beneficial to ambulance chasing lawyer types.
Then our tone deaf Gov., after throwing them under the bus and getting a nearly unanimous "no confidence" by the state trooper union come out and tries to praise them as good officers/troopers who bravely serve, etc. and this will make their job easier.
I'm outraged that they did not try having a social worker talk to the suspect before tasing him. Literally shaking.
i can't even!
But seriously, if I’m on the street getting stabbed by a crazy guy screw the taser just shoot the guy.
Burn B-port to the ground for all I care just don't block I-95. I have to go to work tomorrow you dumb fucks.

I mean, it is the most populous city in Connecticut but no it's a shit hole.
Got off the train there once a decade ago. Can confirm--it was a shithole even back then.

We see a hero, they see a pig. They say call people your neighbor and then call you a nazi in the next breath.
