Indian American here. I think Indian Americans will be waking up this election. I think a lot of them fell for the "Trump hates all immigrants" bullshit in 2016, and over the years that was obviously proven to be untrue.
Indians are very patriotic for their country, and they are most definitely very angry at China right now after the border skirmishes. My family pretty much never engages in politics, but they are pissed the fuck off at China because of COVID-19 and the border fights. Joe Biden has shown that he won't stand up to China, while Trump will. Trump has also really strengthened good relations with India, as shown in his visit to India earlier this year. I was able to convince my parents to vote for Trump, this is the first time they've ever voted in an American election.
Plus the riots have shown the true colors of the Democrats. At least prior to the 2016 election, the Democrats never went as far as to burn down businesses to make a political statement. I bet a lot of Indian Americans own businesses in this country, and after seeing the Democrats burn down so many businesses, they surely wouldn't vote for them. We will see this November, but I'm very sure that far more Indian Americans have been swayed to Trump's side this year.
