I remember there used to be wine that was called Mateus. IDK if it's still around. I was more Boone's Farm Strawberry wine way back. LOL, not kidding.

Mateus is the "most portuguese/spanish friendly" version of Matthew, as in the apostle's name (it is John's book though that has the famous wine story).

Can't say I know any of those brands, but the grandma sure makes a compelling case.
