I am almost positive he just showed up and his team set up a hispanic support event for him. He got there and he asked them who the artist was and they played the song for him, so he played the song for the audience pretending to know who the artist was.
Of course he didn't. Neither did his staff. And the people they hired to put that event together were just people with latino sounding names who "identify" as latinos, but didn't actually speak Spanish, and just know that song from the Top 40.
This has to be the case, that guy who introduced him, surely he has written more than one song, right?
