Within a year of being hired as a teacher she was explaining my male privilege to me. Within two years she would passionately defend ebonics as acceptable grammar. Now she's marching with "Red for Ed" - but she hasn't realized why they chose Red, why she had to join a union, nothing. But she will defend it zealously.
