That sounds glorious but I don't think it's that easy. There's a lot of swamp rats out there and it's taken time to figure out who Trump can rely on and who he cannot. Our political system is almost entirely engrossed by these money hungry pedophiles that have been running rampant for a long long time. The guy is playing his game of chess, just get out there and vote so we can keep working towards that checkmate.

Defense in depth, on the other hand, assumes the enemy will make some partial penetrations, so you make your front line "deep" with your forces distributed in an area rather than in a one dimensional front line. This way, even if the enemy wins some ground, it will eventually be stopped as it tries to push through.
Everyone who's pissed at Barr is assuming that we're dealing with just front line defense, where you arrest some obvious people and then it's over and done with.
Unfortunately, "the swamp runs deep", so arresting front line people will eventually prove to be a waste of resources unless the deep swamp rats are also accounted for.

I assume Harris would just take over, but it's unprecedented for someone who lost in primaries and didn't get the nomination to later become the canidate anyway, effectively bypassing the entire primary vote.
