Someone here mentioned to me that Abbott might be considering a run for POTUS in 2024. If that's true, then him pandering to the left starts to make sense. Also, he may be seeing the writing on the wall that he won't win re-election. The hatred towards him is massive and his poll numbers are in the tank. This will be his last term in office.
