One of the hardest things to do as a human is to be honest with yourself and admit when you've been believing a lie. I genuinely believe there are people out there that have realized the lie, but they cannot let it go. I believe this quote by Slim Charles from the Wire, "Don't matter who did what to who at this point. Fact is, we went to war and now there ain't no goin' back. I mean ... If it's a lie, then we fight on that lie." is where many of them are.
They'd rather live in a lie than admit POTUS has been right.
This is why war is inevitable. We would rather die than give up our rights. They would rather die than let us be free. The ONLY way out of this is if everyone suddenly had confidence in the rule of law and in our elections. As it stands the ballot and the jury boxes are both compromised. That leaves one box left.

I've worked with people like that. Apparently the shame of being "wrong" is to much to bear so instead they just double down on the lie.
