Like the Dems today, they believed their own propaganda. Everyone - from media pundits to Republican politicians - was saying Trump was a joke candidate and would either drop out or lose to Jeb. They were shocked when he won the primaries. Then all the polls said Hillary would win easily. They never saw him coming until it was too late.
They were lazy. They assumed all the fake news and the entire establishment being with her was enough. Plus they were spying on him since at least 2015 so they assumed they could get dirt on him. Communism breeds incompetence.

Can't vote in person in NJ... We have to vote by mail, if we go to the polling station we'll get turned away. Only people with special disabilities / cases can vote in person.

Just for clarification, this should say CALIFORNIA Democrats. While I still think this is corrupt as fuck, it's still not AS concerning as if it was nationwide. Also, these people have been awarded a $35 million contract to contact people about voting.

The constitution explicitly grants to the states the power to determine the means by which their elections are conducted and how their votes are cast. If California wanted to make it law that California always votes for the democrat candidate and no citizen of California can vote, that is within their power. It is the states who are voting for president, not the people in those states. And the state can use whatever means they choose to determine who they vote for.
