Politicians don't care about teacher safety, an MPS teacher got stabbed and they covered it up. The gang bangers are still going to school, often carrying weapons at school, when they should be in jail. But they aren't because juvenile judges handed down light sentences and all proceedings are confidential. You could fix the school but if the people are still trash you don't fix anything. Change the culture.

No, just fire every teacher that cant teach students. If less than 60% of your students don't graduate with passing marks, you're fired.

I taught both my kids to read when they were preschoolers.
My son was reading and comprehending at an 8th and 9th grade level when he was in first grade.
Hard to imagine being in 8th grade and not being able to read.
