We have a core system for that. Equity, not law, is the great US experiment. We're having trouble holding onto it.

Equality not equity to moron. Everyone in this nation should be equal under law. Equity is equality of outcome, it's not good.

Nope, I was referring to legislative equity not equality. Equity is not equal outcome. Checks and balances are a subset of equity which was prototyped in England as a plea to the King.

An easy way to understand it is 2A's "Right" vs gun laws. "...The right of the people to keep and bear Arms..." addresses everyone while justice enforcement through laws addresses violators. This Right covers no outcomes, enforcement, nor judgement.

Social equity is a fundamentally retarded concept.

What does the Social Equity movement from the 1960's have to do with any of this? That's like saying Democrats define democracy! Fucking straw man.

When you say "equity" in today's world, you're referring to "equality of outcome", a concept rooted in fantasy.

If you don't want to be read like this, choose different words that don't have taint attached.

A second thought, a bit of an aside.

We should go through and compare a couple of similar cases that were handled lawfully and equitably from head to tail. I expect you'll find the equitable case to be superior.

Many words have bad uses, but Rights are a form of equity. So are the Checks and Balances. The US wouldn't exist without it. Even local jurisdictions still have equitable civil courts.

Of course even equity can be abused and mangled like you're saying, however so can law, Civility, anything really. It doesn't take away the good parts!
