I watched a documentary about the construction of the Grand Coulee Dam - the natives in that area around the Columbia River wanted the river left 'wild', meaning no dam, no flood controls, no development. The government agreed to move burial sites that would become submerged, but it took too long to get done, and so they just did what they could and then left whatever they didn't get to to be submerged forever. My opinion is, TFB. They're corpses, so they're nothing more than inanimate objects, and concerns over upsetting their 'spirits' when balanced against leaving a massive portion of our country undevelopable forever and leaving those who did establish homes there to be subjected to unpredictable flooding and destruction is an easy choice to make. Can't build a future if you're determined to live in the past.
