The whole 1619 project is based on lies. The african "slaves" brought to the US in 1619 were indentured servants, exactly like the Irish, Chinese and literally any other poor person coming to the US.
They ignore that because it doesnt fit their narrative. And if they can't even follow the logical consistency of their own base argument, it deserves to be thrown in the trash.
Honestly the intentions behind the lies are the real issue. The less a democracy can assume a unified identity, the easier it is to dismantle. So what better way than to attack it's very foundation and make falsehoods about what being a American "actually is".
