This is the attitude to have! High energy & positivity. We have to be realistic, but not defeatist, damn it. That gets us nowhere. This can be changed. We all just gotta be willing to get the hell up & make it change.

Speak slowly, and use short sentences. Whenever possible, use monosyllabic words or grunts, so as not to anger them in their confusion.
It's cumbersome, but perhaps carry pictures with you, using bright colors and simple imagery. If you're really dedicated to the cause, make a pop up book. There's some tutorials online to help you get started.
