They are running a terrible outreach strategy regarding texting as well. Cernovich has called them out on this and many others

I get at least 10 text messages a day, including when I'm trying to sleep, and I can't silence my phone because of work. They use random numbers so you can block them.

I've donated 3 times so that put me on the double fuck you list apparently.

Reply STOP and send to email or text recipients. I did that and received an automatic message in seconds. I agree with the WinRed and RNC aggressive outreach—it’s ticking off quite a few patriots. My sense is those 2 groups want more money for Republican down ballot voting. IMHO Just saying. PS: also received 3 mailers requesting donations within days of donating to WinRed

I donated like $30 to Scott Walker about 10 years ago and Republicans have probably spent over $200 sending me mail to try to get me to send something again ever since

kikikat1949 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yep, that’s the way they do it. Really not too keen on this many aggressive texts and emails. Also, we get requests from many other RNC (mostly RINOs)🚂🍿

Stop doesn’t work.

Every few hours it’s another message begging for money from another phone number. Often in the same format or similar format to the one you just told to STOP.

I gave the Trump campaign $1000 and I terribly regret telling them my cell number now. Constant distractions while I am seeing patients, etc.

kikikat1949 2 points ago +2 / -0

Hmmm...so far it’s been okay for me. But I do agree with everyone displeasure about aggressive outreach. If I get more info I’ll let you know. Keep America Great🇺🇸 TRUMP TRAIN🚂

  1. Create a contact called Spam.
  2. Block the Contact.
  3. Add the campaign text # to existing Spam contact.
  4. Add all unwanted messages, phone calls, etc. to this contact.

If you ever change your mind, delete the number from the contact, everything returns to normal.

2
TrumpVictorious 2 points ago +2 / -0

That works great as long as they don’t change the phone number every time they text you. Which is what they have done to me.

I'll be voting all R this cycle, but most down ballot Rs are RINO cucks. We need to continue to work to throw them out.

kikikat1949 1 point ago +1 / -0

Sometimes it’s so hard to accept...but you are right.

2
CyclopticErotica 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'm in Oregon and Lindsey Graham sends me something begging for cash at least once a week because we don't have Republican senators here.

2
Luckycoz 2 points ago +2 / -0

I’m in SC and I have never received communication from his campaign. I’m a registered Republican.

1
CyclopticErotica 1 point ago +1 / -0

That's funny.

2
kikikat1949 2 points ago +2 / -0

Same for me and I’m in Commifornia! He’s just an old southern RINO.

I get a lot of texts a day. We donate almost every two weeks. Usually when there is some type of Trump swag being offered. Honestly, the texts are a bit much. I do wonder if there were less texts, more money might actually be donated? Unsure about this one. But I don’t really care, and I definitely won’t be unsubscribing.

Just roll with it.

joliefaire 6 points ago +7 / -1

Many of us are in the same situation--this happened the day after Brad Parscale stepped back as Campaign Chairman and the new guy (I forget his name) stepped in. And its become unbearable... I finally had to start tagging the emails as spam so my program would send all of it to the spam folder. Stupid, stupid, stupid marketing--doesn't give me any faith at all in the new campaign manager. That's NOT how you win friends and influence people. Idiot.

Honestly this makes it worse! I finally donated after receiving 10 or so emails about the 8x match, then I was emailed almost immediately asking me to donate more because I was “chosen” to have some other kind of double match. I don’t mind donating but it feels very gimmicky.

3
CyclopticErotica 3 points ago +3 / -0

I too have been chosen!

Comntrinchief 1 point ago +1 / -0

So it worked then.

Qwikphaze 4 points ago +4 / -0

I feel this way about the text messages as well

1
Farnsworth 1 point ago +1 / -0

On iOS you can at least silence the texts. I found them so annoying but didn’t want to unsubscribe. Silencing them makes it not so annoying. Swipe left on the text conversation and hit the bell icon. You’ll still get the texts but they won’t make a sound. Not sure about android but there’s probably some method to silence them.

1
Qwikphaze 1 point ago +1 / -0

I already keep my phone on silent.

1
BusinessAsUsual 1 point ago +1 / -0

Just reply “Stop” to the text message, they will stop.

☢️OUT!☢️

2
HeavenlyTrumpets 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah it's like "you haven't donated in 1 hour! COME ON!!"

lol

I mean I love the man, but yeah.

I've noticed this too. I get at least two thick mailers every day from GOP and / or POTUS. I mean I don't care really as far as from my end, but every time I see one I think about how my last contribution was wasted on that nonsense.

They need $

I just unsubscribed.

It's usually towards the bottom, in blue letters.

It's worth taking the time to find.

1
bubadmt 1 point ago +1 / -0

I unsubscribed but I STILL get them. Annoying as fuck. It's like Sean Hannity decided to run their team.

1
trumpcoder 1 point ago +1 / -0

I agree. If they had a text or email that said setup a reoccurring donation and all emails and texts will stop until after the election (or something like that), then I would do that.

kikikat1949 1 point ago +1 / -0

One more thing—I signed up for Biden outreach and they send just as many emails. Even though the DNC received $300 million in August. Plus a whole lot of money from BLM, ActBlue and Bloomberg giving another $100 million just for Florida! ☹️💩

GingerMinky 1 point ago +1 / -0

And texts messages

1
Comntrinchief 1 point ago +1 / -0

I am on at least 15 campaign mailing lists and I have never received a text message. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I must have given them a false phone number.

1
GingerMinky 1 point ago +1 / -0

You’re lucky. I get about 15 a day.

1
Comntrinchief 1 point ago +1 / -0

It’s typical modern campaign stuff. Including all candidates I get a few dozen a day. Just delete them.

0
GingerMinky 0 points ago +1 / -1

I know

1
Cdogger 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah same with the texts. I had to unsubscribe it was over the top, I was like "please Mr president, it's too much, I can't take it anymore"

I mean it IS bad campaign strategy to send like 20 emails a day. POTUS should have better people working for him who do a better job at this. When it happens too much, people ignore you. That's just how it is.

2
Lovesassycoffee 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah... I was getting about 10 texts a day... And turns out I donated from 2 different emails...so I get about 20-40 emails a day lmao. I stopped the texts... And now I just ignore the emails.

I have donated a lot of money over the years, but right now I cant be spending that much lol

I seriously think POTUS would get more money with a more targeted, less spammy approach. His campaign in 2016 wasn't like this. Don't get me wrong I'm pretty sure he has plenty of campaign money so it's not like I'm worried about that. I'm just saying whoever is running his campaign is fucking up this aspect of it.

You can handle it for another 50 days. Surely there are more important things to complain about then our President’s campaign.
