Gay man here. Was raised by a mother and father who were loving Christians, have three older brothers who are all straight. I was never molested or abused. I was never exposed to any kind of sexual trauma or any weird shit. I didn’t want to be gay, and would have liked a genetic legacy, but I had no say in the matter. I couldn’t have been given a better upbringing. All my peers had divorced parents or absentee fathers.
You can discourage homosexuality, but it’s pointless. Sexual orientation isn’t something you elect. Anecdotally, growing up gay always felt anomalous and felt unlucky. But you deal with it.
Also, in further defense of gay men who aren’t evil; gay men don’t have the pedo market cornered. Never been attracted to boys. I’m not even into effeminate dudes.
