What percentage of the vote did the GP get in '16? Like around 1%, wasn't it? And they're acting like that's a threat now... 4 years of "resistance", to deny the will of the people, and the democrats are now afraid of a party that got 1% of the vote 4 years ago.

The Green vote was enough to flip Wisconsin and almost flip PA.
But the Libertarian Party has routinely yielded more votes than the Green Party, and those are voters who are more likely to vote Republican.
If there were only two choices in 2016, President Trump likely would've taken an additional three states.
That's the primary reason why the LP gets a small boost from the corrupt media whereas the GP is treated like lepers.
As a former LP party member, I can tell you I know of several people who voted for that moron LP candidate in 2016 because of Trump mean tweets and whatever.
That isnt happening in 2020. In fact, those same friends of mine are all in on trump now.

I didn't vote Trump because the things I agreed with I thought he was just saying to get elected.
Trump earned my vote with his actions.
I'd crawl through broken glass to vote for him now.
He's earned all of my support and then some.

If I remember history correctly, Ross Perot was a laughing stock back in the day, but he did siphon quite a lot of Republican votes.
Guy got 20 million votes. That’s pretty insane when you think about it.
Might have won if he hadn't dipped and then came back.

The entire 2000 Presidential Election was decided by only 537 votes.
That's what we've been conditioned to believe. Bush won Florida hands-down.
The DNC media called it early so the panhandle wouldn't show, and the election fraud in Broward, etc., counties was massive.
And just like in 2008, CA, PA and MO had 100%+ voter turnout in multiple precincts, some voting 100% democrat.
But it's a democratic election....
