It is not, nor to my knowledge has it ever had a website. It's a DNS server. They don't host a web page on it.

For those who don't know, Google provides a very good free DNS server, which is the name-to-IP-address function that humans use to visit web sites, send emails, etc to a name instead of an IP (among other uses).

The flip side is that it means that every site that you go to, they track every single request, instead of just sites you look up on Google Search.

Original Pede has used a web site checker to see if a service is up, but even if the service is in full swing, it doesn't direct to a website itself.

If Google's DNS service were to go down, a few million people would need to update their settings in order to use the Internet properly.

P.S. I'm still upvoting you. Respect, just technical disagreement. :D

No, it shouldn't. Port 80/443 isn't open on that server, so you will never get a handshake. Try pinging it. It's up and working just fine.
