Acid rain did quite a job on the upper elevations of the Northeast, before remedial steps were taken. Some areas are still trying to recover.

I wish people would replace that line with "Gyspy Moths will destroy our forests".

Agreed. The acid rain problem was visible in the NE. The solution was relatively easy, too (catalytic converters in exhaust pipes). The difference was visible another 10 years later with less building damage, return of vegetation, and measurably better pH levels.

We're in the quaternary ice age, this process is known as quaternary glaciation and its driven by malankovich cycles. You're absolutely right, these "expert" fuckers know all of this, they know the climate isnt driven by CO2 they just count on the average person taking their word for everything

I remember in elementary school when the recycle people would come around and do presentations on the environment and we all learn how horrible acid rain was.

Back then it was relatively calm though. No one considered it like radical or indoctrination.

I think the Pave Paradise and put up a parking lot song came out around that time too.

Eh, the ozone layer thing was due to a bunch of international treaties to remove chemicals that were causing ozone problems from manufacturing, then the issue went away as expected.
